Online registration is now open for the eighth annual 5K Run for the Future to Benefit the Radiation Oncology Institute (ROI). Register now!
This year's race will be held at ASTRO's Annual Meeting in San Diego on Monday, September 25, 2017. The event will begin at 6:00 a.m. and the race itself starts at 6:45 a.m. (PT) at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel. The course will be held on the running path located behind the hotel on the edge of San Diego's beautiful harbor. Runners will travel past the Embarcadero North and South, Seaport Village and waterfront park. It’s an off-road path with great views of the water and the city for most of the run.
Every dollar donated by sponsorships and registration fees goes straight to the ROI. Support radiation oncology research and education, and join the fun!
"The ROI 5K is a great way to start the conference day, great for networking and it's for a great cause, but most of all it is a lot of fun." Matt McCurdy, MD, PhD, and six-time race champion.
In addition to competing for the individual titles, academic institutions and corporations may also compete in team challenges for additional prizes including scholarship money, trophies, and bragging rights! There is no cost to declare a team (other than the regular registration fees paid by the runner). Learn more or register your team now.
Be sure to pick up your t-shirt and packet at the Radiation Business Solutions booth (#2425) in the Exhibit Hall on Sunday, September 24. And don't forget to pack your running shoes!
